WTFWiki 9: Spaghettification

First, I just want to apologize for the gap in updates.  The last couple of days have been very busy for me.

Anyways, fucking black holes, man!  I've always had a fascination with crazy shit from outer space, and I'm pretty sure it literally doesn't get crazier than black holes.  So, what happens if you were to fall into one of these gravitational powerhouses?  You turn into proverbial pasta, of course.

WTFWiki 8: Voynich Manuscript

Everybody likes a good book, right?  There are books on sci-fi, history, true crime, memoirs, fantasy.. etc.  You name it, there's a book about it.  However, what if your literary tastes are a little bit more eccentric than the average Joe?  Well then, how about a medieval tome written in a language never before seen that eludes professional cryptographers to this day?

WTFWiki 7: UVB-76

Since the last post on Numbers Stations was pretty well liked, I think I'll give you guys another bit of reading about shortwave radio.  This time it's about a phenomenon known as "The Buzzer."  Be sure to listen to the audio sample included in the Wiki entry to get the full creepy effect.

EDIT:  If you guys like my blog, you might check out this blog as well.  Interesting stuff over there too!

WTFWiki 6: Numbers Station

Although we live in the age of fiber optics and digital communication, I personally still enjoy a little analog technology every once in a while.  Not many people still listen to traditional radio anymore, and even less are interested in the shortwave bands.  However, if you happen to have a shortwave radio and turn it on at just the right time on just the right frequency, you might hear this shit.  (I personally find this stuff to be absolute nightmare fuel for some reason)

WTFWiki 5: Pistol Shrimp

After a busy weekend, I believe it's time to get back to it.

Nature freaks me out.  Let's be honest, there are some weird fucking life forms on our planet and a large portion of them come from our oceans.  I know, I know.. now you're expecting an article on a giant squid or some other horrifying eldritch creature.  Instead, check out this crazy ass shrimp:

WTFWiki 4: 1976 Tehran UFO incident

Before we get to this next one, I should probably admit at this point that I think most UFO or alien encounters are bullshit.  With that said, this is probably the most unsettling UFO sighting I've ever read about.
